Who you are agreeing with
Loftline is operated by Ankan Hazra, an individual operating as a sole proprietor based in India. In this document, “we” and “us” mean that operator, and “you” means the person or organisation using the service.
Creating an account, or using Loftline in any way, means you accept these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you are confirming that you are allowed to bind it.
Your account
- You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and you must give an email address you actually control — we verify it before the account works.
- An account belongs to one person. Sharing credentials is how access you meant to revoke outlives the person you gave it to.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account, including anything a coding agent does with a token you minted. Tell us at support@loftline.dev if you think someone else has access.
Your work stays yours
Your diagrams, prompts, generated specifications and project names are yours. We claim no ownership of them and we do not use them to train any model — content sent to our AI provider is sent only to produce your result, under an API agreement that excludes training on submitted content.
To actually run the service we need a narrow permission: you grant us a licence to store, transmit, render and process your content for the purpose of operating Loftline for you and for the collaborators you invite. That licence exists so we can put your canvas on a screen and hand it back to you. It ends when you delete the content or the account.
Deleting your account removes your projects — see the Privacy Policy for exactly what is removed and when.
What AI-generated output is, and is not
Loftline generates architecture diagrams and technical specifications from your description using a large language model. That output is a starting point for your judgement, not engineering advice.
- It can be wrong, incomplete, or confidently plausible while being neither. Review it before you build on it.
- It is not a security review, a compliance assessment, or a capacity plan, and it should not be handed to anyone as one.
- Two people describing similar systems may get similar output. Nothing generated for you is exclusive to you.
Decisions you make from a generated diagram, and anything you ship because of one, are yours.
Collaborators and shared canvases
Inviting someone to a project gives them live access to that canvas and everything on it, and it puts their email address into the project as a membership record. Invite people you intend to show the work to. A project owner can remove a collaborator at any time; removing them ends their access to that project but does not retract what they already saw.
MCP tokens and agent write access
Loftline exposes an MCP server so coding agents can read and — on Pro — modify your diagrams. This is the feature with the largest blast radius in the product, so it has its own rules:
- A token is a credential. Treat it like a password, keep it out of version control, and revoke it in the app the moment it leaks.
- Edits made with your token are your edits. A write-scoped token lets an agent change a canvas other people may be looking at, and we cannot tell an agent's change from yours.
- New tokens expire after 90 days by default, and are rate limited to 60 requests per minute. Do not attempt to work around either.
Things you may not do
- Break the law with it, or use it to store or generate unlawful material.
- Try to reach data, projects or accounts that are not yours, or probe the service for a way to.
- Work around plan limits, token quotas, or rate limits — including by registering extra accounts to farm free trials or free-tier quota.
- Resell Loftline, or run it as the backend of a competing service.
- Load the service in a way that degrades it for other people, including automated traffic beyond the published rate limits.
Plans, trials and billing
Every new account starts with 14 days of full Pro and no payment card. The trial does not convert into a paid plan by itself; when it ends the account drops to the Free plan and nothing is deleted.
Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. Polar is the merchant of record for every Loftline payment: they take the payment, they handle the applicable sales tax or VAT, and their name is what appears on your statement.
A price change never applies to a subscription you already hold. Our billing provider cannot reprice a product that has live subscriptions, so a new price applies only to new purchases. If we change what a plan costs, you stay on what you bought until you change it yourself.
Cancellation, refunds and what happens to the period you already paid for are set out in the Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Availability and changes to the service
We do not promise a particular uptime. Loftlineis a small, independently run product: it will occasionally be down for maintenance, for a dependency's outage, or for a mistake. We may add, change or remove features as the product develops. If we retire something you rely on, or make a change that materially reduces what a paid plan provides, we will tell account holders by email before it takes effect.
Suspension and termination
You can stop at any time — cancel the subscription, or delete the account outright from Settings.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, particularly the acceptable-use rules above. Except where the breach is serious enough to need immediate action, we will contact you first and give you a chance to put it right. If we close a paid account for a reason that is not your breach, we refund the unused part of the period you paid for.
No warranty
Loftline is provided as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error free, secure against every attack, or fit for a particular purpose, and we do not warrant that generated output is accurate or suitable for use.
Limits on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Loftline.
Where we are liable, our total liability for all claims in any twelve month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in that period and one hundred United States dollars.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Keep your own backups of anything you cannot afford to lose — you can export a specification from any project at any time.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The effective date and version at the top of this page always say which revision you are reading. For a change that materially affects your rights, we will email account holders before it takes effect. Continuing to use Loftline after that date means you accept the revised terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Kolkata, West Bengal have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory law of the country you live in.
